The 'NYE at the Club' 2-pack
Skurnik Champagne 2-Packs!
We’re firm believers that you can never have too much Champagne in your life, but that’s especially true in the month of December. That’s why we’re offering two different 2-packs of bubbles from Skurnik Wines, the importer who sparked the Grower Champagne craze more than two decades ago.
These are some of the true OG makers at the heart of the grower movement and a few of our favorite bottles from this crew. Choose whichever 2-pack suits you best, or combine multiples so you can keep the party going until 2024.
In this pack, you’ll get two wines, one bottle of each:
Champagne, Pierre Gimonnet, Blanc de Blancs Brut, Cuis Premier Cru, France, NV
Gimonnet has always been a key figure at the center of the Grower Champagne movement—the class of wines that are farmed and made with care by the same person (which is something we can’t say about the big-name houses). In fact, Didier Gimonnet is the president of the Club Tresors, the organization that oversees the Special Club wines crafted by the region’s top grower-producers. This 100% Chardonnay wine defines Gimonnet’s style because his home village of Cuis is north-facing and full of chalky soils, making a racy, zippy, and fierce style of Blanc de Blancs.
Champagne, Gaston Chiquet, ‘Special Club’ Brut, France, 2015
Chiquet is often credited as being the first family grower to also begin producing their own Champagnes in 1911, so naturally they are among the 27 members of the Club Tresors and produce one of our favorite Special Club bottlings. The Special Club wines from these members act as their Tete de Cuvée, and they must be approved by a blind tasting before the entire membership group, so you the know the quality is top-notch (and that they are in incredible demand these days). This wine from the 2015 vintage has enough age that it is really getting to a serious spot. What better bottle to ring in the New Year with?

Orders placed today for the Skurnik Champagne 2-packs will be available for pickup next Friday, December 22nd.
